One Question–My Experiment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Recently, after a couple of Zoom conversations with my friend, Kathleen Rodgers<\/a>, I thought it might be fun to record conversations with author friends about their thoughts on writing and their recent work or novels. <\/span><\/p>\n (SEE OUR \u201cCHAT\u201d BELOW!)<\/span><\/p>\n After weeks of thinking about it and trying to find a good time, I finally jumped in and interviewed Kathy about her latest novel, The Flying Cutterbucks<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ make_equal=”on” _builder_version=”4.7.7″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ custom_margin=”15px||||false|false” sticky_enabled=”0″][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.7.4″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.7.7″ _module_preset=”default” text_text_color=”#ffffff” background_color=”rgba(183,3,3,0.96)” module_alignment=”left” custom_margin=”-19px|2px|2px|2px|false|false” custom_padding=”10%|8%|9%|9%|false|false” border_color_left=”#e09900″ border_width_left_tablet=”0px” border_width_left_phone=”” border_width_left_last_edited=”on|phone”]<\/p>\n The conversation was intended to be just that \u2013- a conversation, and not an overly formatted interview. This made it both exciting and scary.\u00a0 Though I did have a couple of questions in mind to ask, Kathy didn\u2019t have a heads up about what I would be asking.\u00a0 I think you\u2019ll see in the video, it really was spontaneous\u2013especially by the fact I didn\u2019t even have a title for the \u201cepisode\u201d yet. But we had fun, and hopefully, viewers will learn a little bit about Kathy, her novel and her writing process.<\/span><\/p>\n Though we had intended to limit this episode to 15 minutes, thinking many people may not have the time to watch anything longer, as often happens when we talk, one topic begat another, and we talked on and on.<\/p>\n Next time, perhaps I\u2019ll set a timer, a proverbial hook to pull the performers off the stage.
